Shanghai Scenic Paddlewheeler

Design and shipyard bid specification development of a 600-passenger River Paddlewheeler to travel on the Huang Pu River in Shanghai, China. The design includes a diesel-electric plant with two azimuthing diesel-electric powered pods and an electric bow thruster to allow dynamic maneuvering. This was a complete design from concept to construction drawings and included all regulatory considerations including ABS, SOLAS, and Chinese regulations. TAI did all of the arrangements, structural, piping, mechanical, and electric design.
