TAI description of work performed:
- Initial evaluation and recommendations related to Vendor’s suggested equipment placement and pipe routing.
- Tow plan and stability analysis for the used deck barge and Vendor’s unloading system, equipment, and other installations.
- Ballast plan, for operation and tow.
- Design tow accelerations for equipment, and deck/hull modifications with strengthening as required.
- Bridle plan and details.
- Provide design engineering, calculations, and drawings for modifications to the used deck barge structure as necessary for strengthening to allow for the primary tow conditions between the Client’s terminals in the Bronx, NY and Providence, RI. In addition, there are potential deep water ocean routes to Canadian terminals, plants, and future terminals south of the current US facilities.
- Provide design engineering, calculations, and drawings for modifications to the used deck barge structure necessary for mounting and supporting the Vendor’s unloading system during both operating and tow conditions.
- Provide loads, forces and accelerations applied to Vendor’s equipment and do the installations.
